Nope, Billy Martin is a weisel, but a smart weisel; he didn't have a problem with Bretts bat until he hits a two run homer to push the game to the bottom of the nineth. This I think happened sometime in the early eighties. But, yeah; a bogus call IMO.

I just did some research and I am incorrect; the call was challenged by the Royals and the umpires call reversed. The Royals won the game
5-4. :D

Yeah, it was two years before winning the "85" World Series in which another controversial call sort of overshadowed things.

Yeah, the thing is, though, that is a bit out of character for Brett who to my knowledge never again reacted in such a "passionate" manor. :D
