Remember this Sports Illustrated cover from the beginning of the '96 season predicting us to be in the Super Bowl? It's cool!

I remember SI making a big deal about our 9-0 season too. Dr. Z picked us that year too. We all know what happened after SI pointed out we were 9-0 too.

Jeez, I really miss Marcus. That guy ran with such grace and was such a class act. It's no wonder Davis had him on the bench; he was a good human being. Can't have guys like him representing a crew of convicts, amirite?

Yup I knew that. It's just my memory of the Chiefs from the 90's isn't much. When this cover for SI was done I was only 5 years old.

Yeah we were coming off a stellar 1995 where we were 13-3 and the number one playoff seed. Man we had such a great shot THAT year to win it all. Lost to the wild card, 9-7, before Peyton Manning, Colts. If we didn't botch that game we definitely could have gone on to beat Pittsburgh at our place in the AFC championship. And then Dallas in the SB would have been a challenge but they weren't as good as they were anymore from 1992 and 1993 under Jimmy Johnson. Dang, '95 should have been ours!

Yeah in 2003 they put CHIEFS PERFECT on the cover which was so cool but then we lose the next game!

Yeah it would :)

I got it as my background display on the computer right now.

but its not blood its just chief pride :D

Reminds me of a 1978 movie "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" where the tomoatoes killed a person and the police show up to the crime scene and the cop says, "Wait a minute. It's not blood. It's tomato juice!"

Him and preist was fun to watch. the way the would slide and cut, with no effort at all. LJ cant or wont do that and when he even tries, it looks like all the grace of a cement truck.
