Kansas City Chiefs first-round draft choice FS Eric Berry said on his Twitter page that he has agreed to terms with the Chiefs, reports NFL Network's Jason La Canfora. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Well, now the only thing left to do is to get his butt to training camp!
AWESOME the man arrives!
Berry, Berry, Berry, Berry....I got my Berry jersey all ready for MNF

Sources: Berry, Chiefs agree to dealEmail Print Comments ESPN.com news services
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Safety Eric Berry, the fifth overall pick in last spring's draft, and the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a deal, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Berry also posted the news on his Twitter account.
A spokesman for the Chiefs said until the club announced something, there is nothing official.
But Berry tweeted Friday: "Bout to head to St. Joe!!! Aka the deals done."
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
Hail to the Chief (and the highest-paid safety in NFL history): Eric Berry's deal: 6 years, $60 million max, including $34 million gtd.

Eric Berry agrees to deal with Kansas City Chiefs - ESPN
they just added details to that story:
"The deal is for six years and worth a maximum $60 million, of which $34 million is guaranteed, sources said."
Ranking his signing from 1-10, I'd have to give him a 10. 10 million per year for six years that is, I hope he pans out, if not, we'll pay for a long time on the cap.
So glad to see him finally signed and before Bradford signed. Go Chiefs! :chiefs:
I think he wanted to get to camp!
Not for long. The Chiefs and Berry just jacked up the going rate for a top-tier NFL safety. Some established vet is going to want to have their contract re-worked after they find out that an unproven rookie is making more than them.
I really hope Berry brings something special to the team.
Hopefully that's about 1 mill per pick or less.:sign0098:
Nothing like being the highest paid safety in the league and not even playing a down.
GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is going to be a great season.
Things are in motion and the season has started!
It is now official.
CHIEFS SIGN FIRST-ROUND PICK S ERIC BERRY
So is Berry going to be FS or SS for us? And who was playing with him in the OTA's?
Haven't heard how he's doing, anybody know or have a link?
I made a few links that you can choose from. :bananen_smilies046:

$60 million! phew!!!!!!! :D
Berry and Cassel could start there own bank.
Look at it this way...with the new CBA, there is going to be a rookie wage scale.
We have had our last rookie holdout.
We have had our last crippling rookie salary.
In three years, if we need to draft a QB in the first round, we can do it without gambling the future on a 50 mil guarantee.
This is the last great rookie payout, and at least we paid one of the best players in the draft, with one of the highest characters. I can live with this kid getting this much money. Lord knows I can't do what he does.
Great way to look at it, and I must agree. I'm just glad Pioli got the deal done in time for him to make camp!
