I really hope that Orton is in there sunday. Palko just can't play. Theres a reason that he was cut in the UFL.
Chiefs more than likely are playing this game as a strategy tactic. They want the Bears to keep guessing on who will start. I don't see why you would pay Orton 2.5 million to sit on the bench.
i too think this is just a poor mind game by the hobo.
He made bowe take a seat trying to get him better but we let our starting QB turn the ball over 7, 8 times and its ok.
If that's what Haley is doing it's a waste of time. First the Bears defense pretty much plays every QB the same way. Stop the run, try to pressure the QB with just your front 4. Play soft pass coverage keeping the play in front of you and wait for the QB to make mistakes (incompletions and interceptions). Try to jump routes and strip the ball to force turnovers. 2nd, What will Orton do that Palko wouldn't - besides throwing the ball into triple coverage, I mean? Third, the Bears probably know Orton as well as any team in the AFC West does. He played for them and practiced against many of those defensive players.Quote:
