Yeah, I know the traditionalists will hate these. With Nike taking over the NFL contract next month I cranked out some Pro Combat-inspired uniforms for use in Madden.

Not to bad but you have to keep the red helmets and I don't really like the all black too many teams are going all black especially college.
Give the last guy our red helmet and that ONE would be ok,

When you go into a store or online searching for Chiefs gear red is the predominant color in everything. To say that black or white does not constitute a "Chiefs" color would be ignorant and short-sighted.
Again, I said right off the bat that the traditionalists would not like my designs. I won't lose any sleep.
Well there is another reason I don't like the black they are called tRaiders.

The Steelers and Saints don't look like the Raiders. Neither do the Ravens, Eagles or Panthers when they wear their black alternates. Nearly every team in the NFL that doesn't have a very dark signature color uses black to some degree. Nearly every team in sports that doesn't have a dark signature color uses black. They don't look like the Raiders because of it.

It's FFXI, a modded version of Madden 08 and those are my 2020 Chiefs from one of my franchises. A small group of us has kept Madden alive since they dropped the PC version after Madden 08.Quote:

WOW, youre putting a lot of work into this! I had 06 on PC, my first madden game, it was really fun. Controls were kinda awkward but none the less it was fun! If current Madden games had all the features of the old games, but the current new featues and the graphics of the current games, Madden would be the best game EVER!Quote:

It aggravates me to no end the way that EA favors the big-market teams and whatever teams are the flavors of the year. It's the other biggest reason I greatly prefer the PC version to shelling out $60 a year on their BS.

I'd love it too if EA would bring the next-gen graphics to the PC if and only if it were in a form that we could get into files and mod to our liking.
Cool, but not really diggin the black helmets, the total black uni's or pants.

And please don't refer to my opinion as asinine, white is not considered a true color rather the absence of color. black is a combination of colors yellow red and blue. although to be perfectly accurate black also is considered a hue and not a true color. asinine or not!

According to this the Packers make some kind of change every couple of years and major changes about once a decade.
Pittsburgh Steelers changes over the years.

While the basic design has been the same since '68 they recently ('97) changed the font to the round numbers. They added the "new" throwback in 2007 and wear it as often as the NFL rules allow.
Just because you make changes to your uniforms does not mean you're giving up the teams heritage.

uniform change I'm not totally opposed to. It's the color scheme. show me in our root (Texans) uniform the color black. You mentioned that the Donks and Pats changed theirs and won superbowls. But they stayed true to their colors. Black has never been, and hopefully never will be a dominant color in our scheme. I'm not knockin on your uni's. I do not like the black scheme for us period. Black outlines the arrowhead, ok. Now maybe a arrowhead down the leg....or, as long as it remained an arrowhead, maybe a more primitive/aggressive looking one on the helmet. but it must remain somewhat true to the original. If they keep the uni's like they are, I'm completely happy with that.Quote:
