LJs so full of it. The only reason he's acting this way is because the Chiefs are currently in the process of filing a grievance against him so they can cut him without having to pay his salary. If he isn't on his best behavior, then they'd definitely cut him if they win. He won't get anywhere close to the money he's getting right now elsewhere.
Great post in my opinion. LJ just wants to step lightly get his money and look good so Haley doesn't cut him. Then when he's on board for the season, they lose a game or two, he doesn't get his carries or someone says the wrong thing to him he'll blow up yet again. I think that some people in life NEED direction and not what Herm gave and tht is it's ok I am on your side you will do better crap and Dick V. did'nt help LJ's mood. Alot of people join the military cause they are just a flat screw up and I wrong? Todd H. is going to bring that I don't care about that attitude and make people follow his way or be gone and LJ does not want to lose out on money. I really think that 1 season under his new coach will help shape him into who he needs to be as a FOOTBALL player and well the off the field junk LJ needs to mature.

Just like some people had mentioned, when a player acts out alot (aka cutler) it limits teams. Hes basically working out in hopes he can look good to another team who will come in and pick him up.
Also, of course hes keeping an open mind about being a chief, if Pioli decides not to trade him, he WILL play, becuase if he doesnt he wont get paid, and thats all he really cares about.
If The Chiefs do win, then they are allowed to nullify his contract, or not. (I believe.)Quote:

We all know that LJ doesn't want to be here. So he will likely try the open market, as opposed to allowing The Chiefs to lock him up for a lesser muli-year deal.
Perhaps there is a a one-year contract that could be agreed upon. But why would The Chiefs even want that, considering that he may not be allowed to play for half of the season?
I'm not certain that he is gone. But I can't see why The Chiefs wouldn't take this opportunity to rid themselves of a major headache.
For some odd reason i think he could have a break out year if he has the right attitude. I kinda hope we keep him. Although tomarrow i might loose that thought

The Chiefs don't hold all of the cards here. But the ability to cut him is a trump card that we have been sorely missing these past two years.

In FACT, (I will let you look this one up, if you wish) the league suspensions tend to get worse for repeat offenders.
All you are doing lately is arguing the color of the grass.
LJ has trouble ahead of him. You know it, as do I. It's been getting covered by the major sports news networks just in the past few days.
And with the threat (At the absolute least) of suspension looming for LJ, with a huge contract, his value is extremely low.
Argue the grass color all you want. But it is all for nothing.
The situation is real for LJ and The Chiefs. Being allowed to get out of that contract with LJ would be a huge blessing to this team.
That is why they are trying to.
There has to be a team out there that would be willing to pay his contract. LJ is still a premier back in the league. I say trade his butt for atleast some picks. Why cut him? Get nothing for him? Thats crazy. Im sure the Browns, Saints or even Bears would take a look at him. I could see the Saints getting him instead of drafting a RB such as Beanie Wells from Ohio State.
LJ had the Master meeting on Wednesday, no IMO if and I do say IF the Chiefs win the grevince then they can redo his contract and pay him less money. I do not think at this time there has been much interest in LJ but if the Chiefs win well that could very much change. Now, Pioli could do what some say he does best and wheel and deal his way to another pick but that would leave us with another spot to fill unless it involved some sort of a trade deal a we all could go on forever with that one.

If he were part of a deal like that, they Chiefs could move up approximately 5-10 spots from the early 3rd round pick to a late 2nd round pick. A possible suitor could be Philly's pick at #52. Philly could use a guy like LJ backing up Westbook, and the Chiefs could go get Duke Robinson to play RG and begin the Brian Waters transition plan.
Lot's of speculation, but these are the likely outcomes.
#2 sure sounds like something Paoli would do. And I see no reason that having won the grievance takes this kind of an option off the table. The Giants cut PB immediately. We haven't cut LJ. What is Paoli cooking in that witches brew?Quote:
