All Ed Podolak was doing was crossing the street near his hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. What happened was life-changing. Podolak was struck by a vehicle and sustained serious injuries according to the Des Moines Register . Podolak was attending a wedding in Scottsdale when he was hit by a vehicle the morning of Feb. 19. The long time Iowa football color commentator and former Kansas City Chiefs running back is in serious condition after suffering two broken legs and broken ribs.
