I feel for his family.
When I read he had life threatening injuries, I was really hopeful he would survive. He is the kind of guy that I like to route for. Tons of talent and trying to turn his life around. My thoughts are prayers are with his family.
Hate for things like this to happen; may he rest in peace. Prayers and thoughts go out to his family.
Now Chiefster...this is in the wrong spot.
I can't believe his is dead after the "accident" he was involved in. You don't just fall out of a back of a truck and die. It had to be going fast. Somebody is going to be charged with murder.
26 is way too early to go. At least he managed to stay out of trouble for a while before this.
On top of all this, maybe Karma got back it him...for all the bad things he did. I think he was actually starting to turn it around.
I certainly feel bad for those who knew him and cared about him.
But, as far as turning his life around, the reports I heard yesterday were that he was fighting with his fiance and, as she tried to get away from him, he jumped into the bed of the truck she was trying to leave in.
Then, wound-up falling (somehow) from the truck, where he sustained his injuries.
The end result is terrible, regardless. But I have serious doubts about the notion that he turned his life around.
He may have succeeded in changing some things in his life. But it seems he failed at self-restraint. Which is generally the root of such personal issues.
But then, maybe she was drunk, and taking their kids in the truck. Perhaps there is some sense in what he was doing at the time of the incident.
Just seems like he was unable to taper-off the drama in his life.
Sad news indeed. He was about my age. Way to early to go. RIP
Just got on the computer and heard about it. It's pretty sad eh..?
I doubt any of us can say we are so perfect that we can be above Mr Henry to call judgment on how he lived his life or met his destiny. The report I read tells me he loved the woman very much and was trying to keep her from leaving and passion got the better of his ability to control himself and made a bad judgment call. May God have mercy on his soul and hopefully he will RIP. Prayers and thoughts with his family and friends.
this is awful
yeah it's shocking and sad news. I saw yesterday how he suffered major injuries from that fall from the pickup truck. But then at work today heard the news he died. Didn't expect that.
I am not shocked nor suprised. He has had a history of behvoir problems, and I thought he was bound to piss of the wrong people.
From what I gather, he had an arugment with his girlfriend. She took off and he jumped on the moving vehicle.
I wouldn't be surprised if we found out that he was beating her.
First...my condolences, thoughts and prayers are with those who love and care about Chris Henry. It's very tragic especially when someone so young loses their life, regardless of how or why.
Secondly...as far as Karma, I've always heard, and personally believe from witnessing throughout life what one would consider possible Karma...that it will come back on you tenfold (10 times worse).
I'm not sure if there is such a thing as Karma so to speak, however...I do believe that when we make choices that are morally wrong, or take foolish risks...we're more or less asking for trouble, and have brought it upon ourselves...rather than being 'paid back'.
If some consider such things as being God's wrath...it's my personal opinion that God doesn't punish people while on Earth. Although he attempts to guide, he allows 'free will' for people to make their own choices without interference, hoping they'll 'listen' to the messages of guidance and choose the right life paths.
People punish themselves when they choose the wrong life paths, and sadly sometimes...the innocent become collateral damage of others 'free will' choices. :(
Let's just stop the rumor or gossip mill here, and wait for the info to come out. Lets just all agree a bright potential star in the NFL, has died. May us all give his family our thoughts and prayers, they are hurting right now.
There has been no history of him being a abusive person towards any women. It is not right to say such things without evidence of such things happening. I seriously doubt that he was doing what your saying and refuse to believe that a man respected by his team mates would do the things your implying. For all we know, they could have had an argument and in the heat of the disagreement she stormed out to leave and he went out to stop her and attempt to make things right. Until the police release their report trying to start rumors of spouse abuse would be ill advised , however everyone has free will and your entitled to do as you please.
Very well said.Quote:
