The Green Bay Packers opened their 2012-13 NFL season with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. On September 9, the 49ers defeated them 30-22. The 49ers had 186 rushing yards. Alex Smith completed 20-of-26 passes for 211 yards with two touchdowns. The 49ers' defense held the Packers' offense to two touchdowns (the third touchdown was a punt return from Randall Cobb).
