Well, I would certainly hope he does at least see the error of his ways.

Honestly speaking I can see mistakes on both sides but the kid was very afraid for her dad's life and the cop with the kind of experience he has should have been able to discern that over the phone. He exercised neither sound judgment or discretion.
You obviously don't work in emergency services. I am not condoning what he did. However no one has the right to abuse emergency workers in that way. Emergency or no emergency. I am a paramedic and I show up at emergency situations every day and I do not talk to people that way and if I did, there would be a youtube video about it, then a ChiefsCrowd thread about it and I would be crucified.
