As Guru would say, You missed a few passes, a few tackles, a few runs, and a disappointing loss.

Glad that's all I missed. :D
(the room thick with sarcasm)
You all are right. Huard SUCKED last year. His passes were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. WOW. It's a good thing the Chiefs have God's gift to QB's, otherwise known as the receiving corps of the century! A 43 year old Eddie Kennison and Sammie - do I have stickum on my hands? I must, cause I never drop a pass - Parker.
Can you imagine what Huard would have looked like with less than all-pro receivers out there? How blessed is Arrowhead to have these perenial all pro receivers? How else could Huard have gotten to a 98 passer rating, 60% + completion percentage and an 11-1 TD to Interception ratio?
And don't forget that huge talent coming out of the backfield, Larry "my hands are like a vaccuum sucking in receptions" Johnson.
Seriously. Please. You can say Huard is not worthy of Montana / Farve / Namath / Marino status. No one will argue with you. But to say the Chiefs receivers carried him is stretching the limits of even exaggeration. We had so many $!#Q#$ dropped balls for first downs it was PITIFUL.
This is the only thread on the entire INTERNET (and I hear that thing goes to a lot of people - thousands they say) that would say the Chiefs receivers of 2006 had the ability to make anyone look good....
He earned his ratings & numbers. Don't take it away by remembering a small number of nice catches and forgetting the dropped gimmees.
(sorry for the sarcasm)
This, too, comes as no surprise to me.
Damon Huard
41 Games Played 318/533 for 3659yards 20td and 9 int and an 85.2 QB Rating. Dosen't sound like the second best QB in the league to me!
Doesn't sound too bad either. With a strong running game and a solid D, you could be talking about a play-off caliber team there. Thanks for bringing in #'s to support my theory!!!!
:yahoo:
Extrapolate Croyle's "historical" #'s (which are all with the Chiefs offense, so really more apples to apples), and 20/9 looks awfully good....
ouch. I thought the 20/9 was before the 11-1. Hmmm. the numbers don't look so good. let's take this offline.
