I'll go 1st - Quinn.
Quinn or anyone but Cassel
quinn. cassel is plaiing sooo timid, and his throws are being lofted into open recievers. Hes made sooo many mistakes that it's in his head, confidence is gone.
I liked the zip on the ball from quinn and he seemed to read his checkdowns quickly.
Quinn
This should be a poll, but couldn't figure out how to do it. Duhhh.
Justin Houston
Quinn, I couldn't watch the game, but did they bench Cassel or did he get injured?
We may have a quarterback controversy....
Anywon butt Castle.
Quinn should start! The only head injury cassel has is the boo birds singing in his head! He blew it he had the opportunity to produce he didnt time to move on PERIOD!!!!
Uf had to close between them
Cassel
Stanzi
Me
My wife
My son
My daughter
Quinn
u say cassel before quinn and stanzi. What a joke. Ur list is upside down. Rather see ur daughter in there before cassel.
Cassel. I'm sorry guys and gals. I can't blame cassel for our receivers not holding on to the ball and tipping it to defenders
You obviously haven't watched a game, Cassel is the new David Carr ... not only did he have a head injury today but he also has a heart injury. He no longer has the mind or heart to even try. Unfortunately this franchise is so stubborn and unwilling to admit multi million dollar mistakes... They will start Cassel till every last fan is gone.
I've gone out of my way to watch all the games. Bars, invading friends houses etc. but when the ball goes through Bowes hands and bounces in the air, goes off mcclusters hands or moeakis hands and we continue to blame him. Come on. I'm not saying he is elite or anything but did we bash the heck out of Charles for his butter fingers the past couple games for his fumbles? Most of our team looked like they had no heart. Where is the Eric berry from two years ago. Where is the moeaki of two years ago? Bowe? I'm sorry but no one is playing like we were but we are blaming it all on one player. Everyone needs to stand up. On another note...maybe we need to beat the heck out of Dabol for not figuring out that in the second half the ravens figured out we were running Charles over and over and we needed to change it up. I'm sorry. 15 rushing yards in the second half should be a clear hint. Like I said. Cassel isn't elite...would you be with no support from your fans from day one. Would you have heart. He keeps coming out and taking the blame. Saying its his fault. It's not one mans fault. It's a huge team lack of effort and if anyone mentions he is a captin...we have other captins too. Rag them too.
I will put blame where blame is due... For the most part this year Bowe has been miserable... a few good plays also playing with no heart .. Would like to trade him before we lose him to free agency... wish we would have franchised Brandon Carr instead ... D had a great day especially Houston but I am sure there are some that could step up .... Charles needs to get his fumbling problem fixed PERIOD .. although if you feed him every down he is going to be more likely to drop a couple .. still inexcusable... He does however make up for his mistakes most of the time. Crennel is a pu$$y he needs to stand up and take control of this team and quit excusing everything that happens... I can see why he keeps losing head coach jobs and Pioli refuses to admit that Cassel is NOT a starting QB in this league... But drops and tipped balls excused Cassel is still NOT GOOD... and he needs to go away.
If Quinn can play full games like he played a few downs could work going forward we will just have to see.
Them balls that have been tipped and pick most of them the receivers had to jump at put them at serious risk of injuries. 2 plays today cassel threw the ball to the sideline to a outlet and they had to fall to the ground to catch them. He has NO heart and the team has no heart for him!!!!! Just like last year the team played way better with orton i think the same will be said when Quinn starts next sunday. I dont think Cassel is even a good back up any more. Never liked him and never will! He has had 2 to many seasons!
The first pick I agree Bowe missed that play not Cassel. Cassel put the ball on the hands of his number 1 wr Bowe should have caught that pass.
The fumble and the 2nd one was well high. Not every pass is going to be perfect no one thinks it should be that way. But being high on passes is what Cassel does far to often. It's a problem. You can't miss on passes as often as Cassel does. The fumble also on Cassel. The fact that he has 13 turnovers through 5 games is NOT ACCEPTABLE he needs to be benched he is hurting the team
still a cassel backer in the crowd. I think im going to puke. The coaches dont trust cassel for crap. He did the abosolute mimimum today cause the coaches dont want him throwing for good reason and he stil managed to screw up with the fumble and high passes. They ran the ball 90 percent today because hes more then unreliable. Hes nerve wrecking to anyone watching him play.
Today was clear that his confidence is shot. He has 13 turnovers in 5 games....its in his head now. But come on there is no need to cheer for the injury of someone wearing that red jersey it is sad dude just sad.
And people can spin it any way they want it. People on this forum were celebrating his injury and it's bad form, poor sportsmanship, just sooo many things wrong with it. If you are that angry don't freaking watch until a change has happened.
I say we stay with Cassel at this point. If he can play, then put him back in.
I do not want the pathetic to win in this case. Keep fighting for change, I am with you, but not like this.
Wow you must be either smoking crack or playing for draft position. Matt Cassel should never take another snap as a Kansas City Chief.
First ... if Matt Cassel is in the game Romeo is going to run the ball every play and get Charles killed or at least burn him out like Herm did Larry Johnson (ruined him as a player before his character did)
Second Matt himself will get our receivers killed .. hurt much worse then his little punk a$$ got hurt today.
Third ... It has all went to his head now ... he is listening to the fans and confidence is shot.
Fourth ... I could keep going but I am going to let it drop there ... I like Matt Cassel as a person... I liked Brodie Croyle as a person NEITHER of them has what it takes to be a quarterback in the NFL.
I say put Quinn in there. Cassel has been given chance after chance to prove himself. So far he has failed to do so.
I've supported Cassel up to now, but it's definitely time to give Quinn a chance. Cassel's confidence is gone. Quinn looked much more in command today. I didn't really care for what I saw in Quinn in the preseason, but I did like what I saw in the limited time he had today. At this point I'd like to see him get a chance.
That said, I totally agree with what Winston said after the game.
I say Quinn but It looks like Cassel won't be playing anyway due to his concussion.
Here is the deal. Quinn gets put in there and he might be good for a game maybe two. But, we got him off the scrap heap too.
So I guess the answer to the question is none of the above, there is not one QB on this roster that I want to start. But I hope Quinn gets in there and proves me wrong
Just a thought...trade for Tebow...never been a huge fan but he did win in Denver
As we all know, throughout the off-season there were a lot of debates about Cassel. I was one of the people that defended him, but I always qualified it by saying that this was his year to put up or shut up and go away.
And for me, a third of the way through this season, it's time for Cassel to shut up and go away. I think his time in KC is done.
Will Quinn or Stanzi be any better? NO CLUE. Sure, Quinn looked good, but in my experience almost any quarterback coming in off the bench looks good....at least for a couple of drives. The change in a QB's style almost always seems to confuse the opposing defense for a few series. And the team always seems to rally around the QB coming in off the bench and play a little harder for him.
I'm all done with Cassel as our starting QB. I have no faith in him. The fan base has no faith in him. The team doesn't seem to have any faith in him. Time for him to go.
Will Quinn or Stanzi be any better? I don't know, but let's just say I wouldn't bet the mortgage on it. Was Orton any better than Cassel last year? Maybe a little, but only a little. He was nothing special. And I doubt Quinn or Stanzi are anything special either.
IMO it is time management started SERIOUSLY scouting the QBs who will be available in the draft this year and started figuring out what they are going to do to get a us a high enough draft pick to get the one they think is best. Because I don't see ANY of the QBs currently on our roster as being the guy that is going to lead us to a playoff win more to the point a Superbowl appearance.
