I voted Taylor, but like Ayers alot.
With All of this OT talk....
Why is no one talking about Nate Solder (I mean He might not be available for us at 21 maybe that's why there's not a lot of talk about him)
But honestly out of all the prospects I think Nate Solder, or Akeem Ayers fit what Pioli likes to draft.
Both have at least 3 years playing experience (Solder has 4 years playing exp 3 years starting, Ayers has 3 years playing 2.5 years starting) Both are hard workers, Smart guys (Both on honor roll),and pure athletes that love the game. Both have leadership qualities (Captains of respective teams). And both have very high character (No red flags whatsoever.)
I know People are high on Phil Taylor but he just doesn't seem like a guy Pioli would buy into. There's been talks of him being lazy, not a hard worker, some red flag character issues (I know it has to do with a fight from back when he was at Penn State, but it's still a "red flag" also heard he had academic issues.) and Justin Houston is similar with character issues.
I just look at how Pioli describes his draft picks and he puts a lot of emphasis on Character and work ethic, and think he will go this route for at least another year before he takes a chance on a guy that has character issues.
Now I really think we are going to attempt to trade back and pick up some more picks in the 2nd or 3rd, but If we do pick someone I think one of these two are the most likely.
