Smith very well could've been the most consistent QB of the bunch but that's not saying a whole lot. I saw him throwing behind receivers in simple out routes, behind receivers on long balls, and then perform like most of the other QB's in the class. TV coverage didn't show enough to convince any sane person that he's worth the #1 overall pick. Hell, in the post workout interview even Geno gave himself a "C" grade on his passing performance noting a few mistakes he knew that he made.
Bottom line, the combine isn't where these QB's are evaluated. They can do some irreparable damage if they perform poorly, but with Smith's performance today on the field, he's still a mid-late first round selection. If he's a top 10 selection, I'll be shocked.
