That was kinda fun!
Post Mortem............
The offensive line did not impress.
JC did not get into the game much. Still hurting or just AR holding back a bit?
Smith was rough at best until the 2 minute drill before the half. That was nice.
Reid was gambling like a drunkard to see how people would react. I liked it assuming we don't see that sort of thing in the regular season.
I was pretty pleased with the second half. First time I've seen the "rest of the team" looking fairly sharp.
I liked Daniels tonight. He's never impressed me much in the air, but he can surely keep a defense off balance with his running....and he's not afraid to either. Our very own Tebow.
WE WON THE GAME!!!!! We didn't blow anybody out, but we didn't quit (refreshing after last year) and everybody played hard as if this game was a playoff game.
While I was not overly impressed with any part of our performance, I REALLY liked the spirit. Everybody played like they wanted to be a Chief!!!!
And that is already a HUGE improvement over last year!!!!!
Interesting...
"Smith struggled early but led Kansas City to a pair of scoring drives late in the first half and finished 17 of 24 (71%) for 158 yards and a touchdown."

That's over 300 yds per game.
Dink and dunk away, Alex. Dink and dunk away.
I just saw on FaceBook that Andy Reid told Len Dawson (postgame show) that he wanted the Chiefs to return every kickoff so he could evaluate his returners. That explains the "stupidity."
I thought that was obvious. Reid is no fool and he would not allow 9 yard deep returns during the regular season......and he wouldn't go for it on 4th and inches on roughly his own 20 in the regular season. This was a preseason game and Reid was using it to do what preseason is all about......figuring out who has the skills and WHO HAS THE DESIRE!
While I can't get overly excited about what I have seen from any specific part of the team so far (except MAYBE special teams) what I am excited about is what Reid has done to this team. They don't quit. And that alone is a HUGE improvement!!!! Reid is acting like a coach who wants to be remembered as one of the great ones. And we all know this is his last chance to prove that. I dunno if we can win a Superbowl with Alex Smith (verdict is still out) but I do know that Reid intends to win a Superbowl in KC.....and yeah.....I THINK HE CAN DO IT!!!!
