But it wasn't Ryan that shredded us, it was their running game. He was only 10-19 for 178 yds (2 tds), but the Bills ran the ball 36 times for 201 yds. We couldn't stop CJ Spiller.
Our defense is much better this year and our offense is able to eat clock and give them rest. Fitzpatrick won't have the same offense around him as he did the last two years. Tennesee's best RB is Chris Johnson who is averaging 69 ypg and 3.3 ypc. I also don't think Ryan is as good as he was or he would have beaten out Jake Locker for the starting job and the Bills wouldn't have let him go. I'm sure he will be a little rusty with this being his first start this season. Their receivers will need time to adjust to a new QB as well.
I'm not saying that Ryan isn't dangerous and should be taken lightly, but what he did to us with the Bills has little bearing on how he will play with the Titans. The big factor will be can our offense move the ball consistently against their defense. If we can do that we should be ok.
