Agreed, on both counts. Dunta says all the right things in front of the camera, but unfortunately it didn't show up on the field, especially when we needed it.
If Berry is willing to re-structure it'd really help the team out a lot.

I would love it if Berry would restructure, but I am not holding my breath. Multiple Pro-bowl players (no matter what you think of the selection process) rarely admit they are overpaid. Renegotiating to a more cap friendly contract? Maybe. But keep in mind there are many teams out there that would pay him his current salary or more to play with them, and I am sure he (and more importantly his agent) is well aware of that fact.
RT or LT, the big question with me is what shape is Fisher going to come back in after his first offseason. My hope is that he'll take a look at what Dontari Poe did in his first offseason. Fisher proved he was the grown up last April when he said he'd be okay with playing different positions, and also proved he was willing to get better as the season went on (take a look at the first Denver game, then compare it to the second) now it's time to prove that when mini camps/OTA's start this spring that he's focused on living up to his draft status.
Stephenson's been really reliable, and willing to play any spot on the line. If a competetion did happen in camp for the LT spot and he got it, wouldn't complain.
The other O-linemen I'd like to see dig into an offseason program would be Allen. It might be the thing that turns him into a standout.
This, I highly doubt. If there is such a team, then the Chiefs should pull the trigger on a trade & get a draft pick in return. But it won't happen, because there aren't any teams willing to pay a Safety as much money as the Chiefs are paying Berry and he's not head and shoulders above a whole slew of other starting Strong Safeties in the NFL. Safeties are a dime a dozen and you can get good Safeties anywhere in the draft. Don't expect Dorsey/Reid to ever draft a Safety in round 1.
Albert is gone. Bowe's contract is untradeable. Nobody is going to give up draft picks to pick up a bad contract. Keep Schwartz, McCluster is possible.
I would think McCluster would look for a contract a little smaller than Devin Hester's last contract, and I am sure Toub would be pushing for it as well. Reid knows his value, after all he did get a few reps at RB when Davis went down. I see him getting paid 1.5-2 mil a year with a big signing bonus on the open market. He will prob give a bit of a hometown discount.
What other teams? There isn't a single other team that is going to pay a Safety 10 mil. per year. Buffalo doesn't want to do it with Jarius Byrd and he is every bit as good a player as Berry is. Dashon Goldson didn't get that from TB.
Berry getting 10 mill. a year was a one-trick pony via a pig-headed Scott Pioli and his steadfast refusal to take O-Lineman in round 1 under the old CBA. It's highly doubtful that you will see any Safety getting offered 10 per season via FA any time soon and highly unlikely that Dorsey/Reid will offer that type of coin to Berry once his contract is up.
Bowe got his payday because the Chiefs didn't have anybody else at WR at the time. He simply lucked out, there.
