Agreed, Trent relies heavily on the seven step drop, but there again lies the issue of getting the best players on the field. We have no standout receivers and our "O" line is woefully lacking. Running into a stacked box, and safe short strikes become too easy to defend after a while, and we are forced to throw downfield at some point just to try to keep the defense off balanced which means the QB, regardless of who it is, has to hang on to the ball longer to throw to a wide receiver who may or may not bring it in. The true problem here as I see it is our receiving core and the "O" line. JMHO
