Sounds like Al Davis's kinda guy.
Seriously though if we aren't gonna get an early draft pick for him I would rather see him and Carl patch things up and have the new contract include a no DUI clause.

I think that the Chiefs would be ab-so-freaking-lutely insane, to let Jared go anywhere. He has been one of the best kept secrets in the N.F.L. With the lack of serious talent, at DE in the league, we are lucky to have him.
I understand the problems off the field, could wind-up having an impact, on the field. Just can't part with his talent, at this time.
Considering the guy is an idiot when it comes to drinking, I am all for letting him go and getting something in return. I don't think anybody is going to give up a 1st and 3rd for him though. He has been busted twice now and he will be on a 4 game suspension to start the season. We are asking too much and so is he.
As hard as it has been, for us to find talent, at his position, I think his value is higher with us, than with other teams.
Yes, if he doesn't understand that his off field problems, becomes on field problems, and management can't make him understands this, then he is a liability, with more dui's and suspensions to come. He is a top notch player and I would hate to see his drinking problem turn into more dui's (a situation that can be addressed with a desinated driver if he can't curb his drinking) and ruin a potentially great career in the NFL. He has the key to his future, I hope he doesn't blow it!!
