In this regard the text books are correct.

...I just liked the smilie, so I thought I'd use it. :D
I just want an America where..
• I don’t have to shop at small local neighborhood stores. I don’t want the problem of choosing where to shop.
• I can buy cheap plastic crap from China.
• Where new drugs are available immediately to the public whether they have been tested properly or not. If the major pharmaceutical companies bottom lines are healthy, then I feel healthy too
• I want kids to have sit in a classroom with at least 30 other children. They need to fight for the attention they need.
• Where we continue our use of fossil fuels. Oil is much more important than preserving our natural woodlands.
• Because corporations should not have to pay for environmental damage. The EPA is an outmoded idea. If we the people want clean water… buy it in a bottle.
• I don’t know if the food I eat has been genetically modified. I don’t want to have to live with that fear… ya know?
• I can be screwed by utility companies.
• Hybrid cars aren’t out there… they really aren’t useful.
• I just don’t feel I deserve health insurance.
• My state (Texas) has MORE billionaires.
• Where we don’t have to worry about the constitution… sometimes it’s just one big inconvenient headache.
Now if only the politicians would listen to me!!

(This is completely a joke)
:lol::lol::lol:
No, this is a joke:
ya know what you call a bus load of politicians who go flying off a cliff into a very deep ravine?
...A good start. :D
or, the word politician defined is as follows:
1. A person who practices politics. "Politics" is derived from the words "poly" meaning "many", and "tics" meaning "blood-sucking parasites."
2. One who was perfected the art of lying.
3. A highly paid yes-man. :D
How long did it take to get through the last economic catastrophe, which happened to also follow the next most recent ten year stretch of Republican control over Washington?
Nah. Herm had all of his disasters paid for.
As terrible as the Herm era was, it pales in comparison to the guy who launched two wars, and, instead of paying for them, left the bill for the next guy, along with a complete decimated economy, and even lowered the revenue, all while still racking up massive debts, that would have included what President Obama gets credited with, had he actually not been trying to sabotage the next administration.
Here is the thing, when you decimate the US economy, and cause sky-rocketing unemployment, you are in no position to criticize the clean-up efforts.
Clean up efforts - the man is making it worse - much worse. But thats what happens when a desperate and naive populace elects a salesman to pose as a leader. This huge gov't is out of control and has no accountability. And Obama actually thinks that increasing gov't jobs is the answer to our unemployment woes? Subsidizing these public sector jobs off the backs of private sector wage earners is NOT the answer.
Gov't bankrupt, unemployment rampant, social security raped, post office broke, credit shot, medicare screwed, dollar worthless, inflation skyrocketing, taxes booming, debt out of control. I know, its all Bushes fault! Isn't socialism wonderful?
Remember - A larger, more powerful gov't equals a smaller, less powerful YOU!
About a year left of the clown show...
It is known as the dumbification of America. Problem is many Republican voters are no smarter. I can say that 'cause I are one.
The decline stopped. And all signs were heading back up, when The TEA Party came in to shut it down.
Republicans, politicians, and supporters have been sabotaging the economy, through government, and private sector efforts since President Obama was elected. Actually well before then.
TEA Party nation actually sent out an Email to members with a pact for them to sign, agreeing not to hire any Americans until.....(Whatever demands are met)
Nevermind that they only hire overseas anyway.
The fact that they tried to get all their supporters to agree to sabotage the US economy, and out in the open, is exactly why the usual recovery from stimulus spending has not happened.
Even Republicans tyhemselves have admitted that The GOP has put sabotaging recovery, to blame President Obama, ahead of their duties.
The last thing Republicans, and their supporters want, is for the economy to recovery while Obama is in office.
And they have been doing everything possible to stop it from happening.
As for the TEA Party war-cry of "big scary government", I don't like big government either. But it is the only rescource of the people, against the btyrany of big business.
Corporations, by design, will starve all Americans, for the ends of feeding their fat BoEs and CEOs.
It is only natural for those corporations to try and eliminate the people's power to fight them.
The government is the people's representative in that fight. And we continue to watch the politicians being bought by those corporations.
And there are two parties.
Republicans are cheap. Their whole platform is "beg the almighty corporations and give them many offeriings".
And Democrats are the last bastion of real representation against the power elites.
Yes. They too get bought off, and talked into doing all the cortporate favors.
But, I see them fight on almost every major issue.
Aside from Ron Paul, who sticks with his ideals, regardless of anything else, I see no Republicans not demanding that we make our offering to the corporate gods.
