It will be interesting to see what Vrabel does as a HC.
He looks like he has potential.
Y'know Bike I'm not at all against Alex playing out his contract. Not one bit. I'm just being fatalistic and saying I don't think it will happen. We're facing a triple-edged sword....no cap space,...
Now you are putting me "on the spot" there Chiefster! Would you do me a favor please? Go out and shoot a crow in case I get hungry after week 17 next year.
Foles is a tricky situation. If overthecap.com is right he is still under contract for 2018 at a cap hit of $7.6 million with $5.4 million in dead money if they cut him. And that is further...
Hard not to like those numbers. Does he have any mobility?
I just wish we actually knew something about Bray...other than what was it???? 4 plays against Denver?
Yeah....we're caught between a rock and a hard place. Our once great Defense is aging and the ones that are aging are the leaders. Yet at the same time we mortgaged our future to get Mahomes and so...
And as things stand now we don't have cap or draft picks to plug holes with.
That's certainly an interesting suggestion. So you figure Bray can handle the #2 slot?
You ARE SO RIGHT! And we're not going to get that unless we get decent pass rush from the right side. Hali used to do it but he can't anymore and Ford (when he isn't injured) is no Hali. Houston...
I see no problem with that. It's risky since Daniel ain't nothing great but if Alex and Bray are gone and Mahomes is #1 then we need at least someone that has a clue and hopefully someone that has...
And there is the question. Unless there is something TOP SECRET that none of us know then Bray is at best an expensive #3. Meaning we need a solid #2 if we trade Alex.
Seems to me the Defense was damned good the first 4 years. Do I remember wrong that they were in the top 8 or better each of those years? And weren't they always very good at collecting turnovers? ...
I'm not saying he doesn't. Just saying I don't know. Other than the Denver game I haven't seen him do anything bad or good so I can write that off to jitters but I haven't seen all his appearances...
Can't argue much with that.
He did pretty well the first 4 years but not so much this year. I'm not so sure if that was Sutton's fault or injuries and aging players.
Well....IMO I don't think we lose much by letting Spiller and Gaines go.
Bray was miserable in the Denver game but I have to wonder if that was just jitters.
Bennie Logan didn't do badly...
35 is not old for a punter, but he made $4.9 million this year (which is A LOT for a punter) and for us to keep him he'll probably want 3-4 years at higher money. So I suspect we'll let him go in...
Agreed. He made $7.9 million on a 1 year deal last year and he'll be wanting as much or more this year. Sadly his departure won't give us any extra cap space or any draft picks.
We all know we need cap space. Dustin Colquitt at age 35 has played out his contract. Last year he made $4.9 million. Unless he wants to sign a 1-2 year deal in the $2 million range I don't think...
And Case-freaking-Keenum takes the Vikes to the NFC Championship. WTF?
Vikes win with a 61 yard TD with 13 seconds left at the start of the play. Game over. 30-24 if they can get the media off the field for the extra point..
Saints retake the lead 24-23 with 0:25 left
