Eric SleepingWith Bienemy.
Given his choice of OC and a decent DC, I still think that Haley would make a good HC in the NFL.
I feel that he was hamstrung with all of the politics that go with Pioli being the man in charge.
I'm hoping that it's not being handled as poorly as the title of this thread was written.
For some reason this doesn't interest me.
Fox 4 news reported it as well.
I fully agree and have felt this way for a while now. You kinda have to feel bad for Clark, he spent the money to buy the right people and they failed him. I can't imagine how hard it would be to...
My vote goes to Ed and Jim McMahon....in unison.
Seems as though you're speaking with your emotions instead of the aforementioned common sense. I doubt that there's an owner in the entire league who would have fired Scott Pioli after only 3...
I don't agree with your opinion about Clark knowing nothing about football.
When he got Pioli it was considered the best move of any team at the time and everyone expected Pioli to do great things...
They're getting even less from me right now....
This. I don't believe in reaching just because you need to fill a void. Take the BPA and draft in later round, buy or trade for the player you need.
Worst. Team. Ever...!
Hopefully the Crennel tenure is about to end.
Dumb.
Why not remove the ENTIRE kicking game? If you don't score a touchdown you don't win.
....and there you have it. Perfect answer!
Exactly what I was getting at. Apparently you missed the point of the article also....
Just because a man is drafted in the first round does not guarantee him to be a top tier QB. No sense in reaching for what isn't there.
No thanks, I'd rather have Kaepernick, unfortunately so would SF.
Those did kinda get to me....it's amazing how powerful a fans passion can be.
.....because history has shown that we'll just f**k it up.
Remember that HOF QB we drafted back in '83?
Of course you don't, we drafted the one that wasn't a future HOF QB.
This.
Dude, your last sentence just ruined my day.
How good were Marty or Dick Vermeils contracts compared to the rest of the league?
Our QB woes began on September 10, 2006 and will not end until we get serious about either drafting or buying another "good" one. I don't even care if he's "elite" as long as he's good.
They...
OPL is correct in that Pioli was considered the "elite" hire at the GM position due to his record at New England. Unfortunately he has failed to produce on his own and it's now time to cut him loose...
