Niswanger or Wiegmann?
I'd take Wiegmann(sp?).
I voted Cassel, I think he's the better of the two. But I wouldn't rule out an open competition for the starter.
It's never too early to speculate, but yea I think Curry is the best value at the #3 spot.
I don't know how you could say Crennel would be a 'great' hire, but I think he would help transition our defense to a 3-4. Gibbs and Pendergast were good hires, but not if we made one of them our DC....
Thig will be a good backup.
Ok, last year the winner of the AFC West came down to the last game of the season(San Diego vs. Denver), and the winner finished 8-8. So far, San Diego hasn't done a whole lot to improve their team,...
I'm pretty sure Cassel is the starter. We need to get this guy a long-term deal first, but I would assume we brought him in to be the starter. We need to seriously beef up this offensive line also,...
How about some hardware on this O-Line, please...If waters goes, then one can only assume we go OT with our first pick? i dunno
I'd say this would work out for us...our O-Line is putrid, but Waters is going on 33 years old, and a couple more draft picks would definitely be a plus. I would take it if it was offered.
I love this deal to the fullest. A second round pick for a veteran in Vrabel, and a potential franchise QB with Cassel. Great trade. Keep doin' what you do Pioli. He's doing a great job.
This is an embarassing topic...so what if he doesn't share 'inside info'? Ya'll are just used to coaches leaking information, and hearing about rumors that aren't true. Forget about it..
BJ Raji looks like he drank too much cool-aid. Seriously, look at his picture. But for real, just because he fits the 3-4 scheme doesn't automatically mean we are going to draft him first.
I agree that we keep DJ, but he's not gonna be used as an ILB in a 3-4 defense. He's always been an OLB, and we have to utilize his speed and pass rushing abilities from the outside...which we have...
He's relatively unknown by most, but this guy is a legit top-10 talent. He played OT at Baylor, was a four year starter, Wright & Mayock(screw whatever Kiper thinks) have him as a high first round...
Absolutely he is. Curry is without a damn question the best overall defensive player in this draft. I can say by seeing him play through the ACC(i'm a Virginia Tech fan/student), this guy should be...
I agree. We shouldn't know what to expect with this draft..with the collaboration of Pioli/Haley, its kinda tough to predict who we will take #1 this year. I think it's 50/50 whether we take Sanchez...
The future? No. For the time being, I think he deserves a legitimate shot just like Huard/Croyle. Nobody expected him to play that well last year, beef up the O-Line and see how he excels. Then ask...
Yes. He will be cut. That's all I have to say. He sucks, has no composure, has brittle bone sydrome, and is a nervous wreck when pressured. Sad to say, but he just hasn't had a chance partially...
They aren't going to go with Crabtree #1, no way in hell do they make the decision to draft yet another WR..I don't see it. I think they go Stafford, but if not then they will probably take Monroe or...
Draft Countdown - 2009 NFL Mock Draft
Scott Wright, draft whiz, has us taking Aaron Curry at the #3 spot. He has us taking Michael Johnson(the DE out of Georgia Tech) in the 2nd round.
Dorsey came into a bad situation last year...give him some time. With the right coaching, I think he has the potential to be one of the best in the league.
I agree with the Peppers statement, Coach. A lot of players in this league, not just LJ, have effort concerns once they get that fat paycheck (this would be why I oppose us trading for Matt Leinart)....
I agree with the idea that this team needs a quarterback. Thigpen, in my opinion, is solid at best. Although I believe we should draft a tackle or a DE, drafting Mark Sanchez at #3 would not upset me...
Yes it does. Why the hell not? We have the cap, we desperately need to hardware on that line, how does it not make sense?? He's a beast, any team would die to have a legit tackle like him. I don't...
