    Default Thigpen to the Dolphins.........

Tyler Thigpen has been traded to the Miami Dolphins for an undisclosed draft pick. ESPN reporting.

Unfortunately I cant remember the last chiefs 5th rounder worth talking about. hopefully we get some value but I wish thigpen well. These are dismal times... hard to optimistic. I think a win would help... haha

I think the Chiefs will regret this decision. I can easily see both Croyle and Cassel going down at the same time.

I thought Thigpen looked pretty good at times last year. The ability to run, with our o-line, is a really nice asset to have.

Maybe Hailey has some diamond in the rough waiting in the wings. However, I see this a pretty cynical move.

Thigpen did look pretty good at times last year. But this year? He has looked pretty poor all through pre-season.

Thigpen has always been terrible at best in a normal offense though... there won't be any regrets. With Hailey gone, any chance of us ever running the Pistol Spread ever again went out the window.

I would have to add the

    2008 5th Round
    Brandon Carr

    2007
    Kolby Smith

    2005
Boomer Grigsby (cut by Miami because he was hurt, having a good year.)

    2003
    Bobby Wade (Chicago)

    2002
Scott Fujita (Now with the Saints)

    2000
    Dante Hall

Should I go further back, or look at other teams?

Dude- you could hardly call Boomer Grigsby a 5th Rounder worth talking about. Drafted as a LB, he ended up amassing the pro-bowl-worthy total of 28 tackles in 4 years. When he couldn't hack it as a LB, KC couldn't bear to part ways with him, so we made him a FB, where he had a great year catching the ball out of the backfield- with 2 rec. for 14 yards.

The good year he was having in Miami in 2008? 1 tackle in 1 game.

    Just sayin'

Not sure they will pan out yet but Sean Ryan and Ryan O'Callahan are also 5th rounders.

By the way if we get a 4th, Jared Allen was a 4th.

And he wasn't our draft pick but Tony Pashos was a 5th rounder.
