    Default Pics Tailgating w/YZILLA & friends 9/20 & more!

First, I need to give a HUGE thanks to YZILLA for inviting me to join him & his friends at Sunday's Home Opener against the Raiders. My son in law came with me, and everyone was GREAT with welcoming us, and we had a blast! I wish I could afford to attend every home game & tailgate with ChiefsCrowd members!

I'm anxiously awaiting the 12/6 game for more tailgating!

Hopefully sooner rather than later, the Chiefs will have it together and finish with a WIN on 12/6 against the Donkeys!! I really had high hopes against the Raiders, and we looked good in many ways. I definitely shed some red & gold tears inside my heart with the loss.

I'm a part time writer/storyteller, so please have patience with me as I move along here, haha.

We arrived at Arrowhead later than
planned...should've arrived by 9:30, but ran into one lane road construction on the two lane hwy over to I-29, then more one lane construction on I-29...bumper to bumper snail traffic. We lost a good 45 minutes due to construction. We arrived around 10:45, but at least were able to have some time tailgating before & a bit after the game too.

The only part of tailgating that was not enjoyable...was after the game. Raiders fans of course were gloating among us sad & disappointed Chiefs fans. :(

Also, somewhere along the walk back to the parking lot...I stepped in doggie poop! YUCK! On our way home the truck sorta started smelling. At first I thought my son in law had gas issues, haha. NOPE! We discovered it was dog poop on the bottom of my Chiefs tennis shoes! We stopped at a convenience store so I could clean it off. I had enough beer I laughed about it though!

Here are my pics below. I'm not sure how to do the Photobucket link, as I've never done it that way before. I'm going to do post more than one reply as I go along, because I have a couple little stories to tell along with some of the pics, haha.

I'm not sure who the Chiefs fan is in the pic below I'm standing beside, he was with another group we saw as we walked to the stadium, but I love his Chief's get up & wanted a pic! LOL I want a headdress too! He told me it was made by Pawnee Tribe artisians. I'm part Shawnee and Cree, so it would be really cool if I could find artisians within one of my Native Tribes to make one for me someday!

Story time, haha. Early in the 4th Q I decided I needed to start drinking pop instead of beer...had enough by then! While up in the commons a verbal shoving match began between some Chiefs fans and Raiders fans. It was turning ugly QUICK!

I noticed the Raider fan who was the main instigator had his two small boys with him, which concerned me. There was much foul language and racial slurs taking place between the groups...not good for those little ears to be hearing at all, as well as, the potential for them to be hurt if the shoving turned to punching.

I've been nuetralizing drama on Kid Rock's websites since 2004, which is quite a job at times to say the least, haha...& do well nuetralizing real life drama typically too. So, for the sake of the little ones...I began trying to reason with the two guys mainly going at it, warned them they needed to chill or would get kicked out, & reminded them of the little ones right in the thick of it all.

I could tell with the alcohol influence I wasn't going to be successful, so focused on guiding those two little guys out of the way! Below is a pic of me & the two young Raider fans...they thought it was pretty cool I asked to take my pic with them, not realizing it was a distraction of course. That's their dad in the mask behind us...the main one going at it in his group with a Chiefs fan among his group:

Well...it ended as I suspected it would...the Raiders fan & Chiefs fan were escorted out of Arrowhead by Sheriff's Deputies...poor little guys had to go along with their dad of course...missed their team winning too.

I ended up missing the end of the game...but, under the circumstances it appeared I didn't miss but a Chiefs loss. While walking back to the parking lot...Raiders fans were gloating of course verbally...nothing too bad I heard, fun rivalry for the most part I suppose. However, there were two Raider fans gloating a bit as we walked beside them, so I asked if I could have my pic taken with them just for fun!

Well, what they didn't know was my intention for the pic was to discreetly respond to their Raider gloating, my way, haha. In my defense, the beer within me no doubt influenced my being ornery, haha. I'm short at 5' 4"...and though I did my best arching my back standing on my tippie toes to relay my discreet in jest response to their gloating...you're gonna have to look close to see my response to them, haha.

See that little middle finger waving in the air above the head of the one on the right? It's there above the one on the left too, but he was too darn tall! hahaha

Sounds like you had a great time. (Nice middle finger for the Raider fans. Lol)

Wish I could have been there. Probably would have overeaten and overdrank, and missed most of the game, anyway.

Looks like you all had a good time, except for the outcome. Love your story telling.

Thanks all, and again thanks to YZILLA for including me! I love the tailgating with fellow diehard Chiefs fans!!

To be quite honest...this was my first tailgating experience at Arrowhead!

I've never known any Chiefs fans who tailgated, considering local friends are part time Chiefs fans, not diehards like me. They rarely attend games, & don't always watch at home on TV either. When we attended games traditionally 2-3 times per season, my x hubby was always in a hurry to get to our seats anyway.

It really meant a lot to me to be included with YZILLA's group, and I'm excited to be able to tailgate again on 12/6!! I wish I could afford to attend & tailgate every home game, but a few times per season I'm definitely grateful for!!

YZILLA took me to my first real tailgate too. The first time I went I wandered aroudn the parking lot, but then I got to party a couple fo times with the big man and now I dont ever want to go without him!!
The only reason a beer sweats around Canada is because he's decided it will be the next beer he drinks.
