Default KC Star : Page shaking his head after being penalized for hit

For Jarrad Page, the play was a safety’s dream. New York wide receiver Steve Smith and the ball were coming simultaneously into Page’s territory in the middle of the field on a second-quarter play Sunday. Page broke up the pass with what appeared to be a clean hit on Smith, only to be dismayed when he saw the penalty flag come out.

Being in Az I watch the Cardinal's each week too and Adrian Wilson gets called for that BS all the time! It's crap!!! Also, how bout that BS sissy rule they have for the QB's now????????? Tom Brady coaxed that ref into throwing that flag on Suggs. Ravens have a right to be pissed on that call. It resulted in a TD and cost them the game!!

Officiating in the NFL has really impressed this year with their ability to throw a flag on literally every positive play by the Chiefs... it's gettin really old.

Now, throw in the fact that nobody can hit tom brady but other guys like Pennington can get unloaded-on all Sunday long and I'm liking college/high school football more n more.

They flag guys like Page for hits like that but then they turn around and put the hit in "NFL's greatest hits videos" n crap like that to promote revenue cuz they know ppl still wanna see it. The double standard in this league is becoming pathetically comical.

NFL is becoming a f'in joke.
Thanks for all the yards, TDs, and memories, Priest!

Yeah this was a BS call, but let's not overlook the fact the refs did not call a clear helmet to helmet contact later in the game. That second hit was nearly as devastating to the receiver and was clearly illegal.

Yeah, the refs do not get paid much so what do you expect, professionalism?

Are you man enough? Eric Berry? Apparently Not!

I think they should start giving out fines for throwing unnecessary flags. The refs were terrible. They didn't call much needed holding calls on the Gaints several times.
