In 2004, Carson Williams, a Mason, Ohio, electrical engineer spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that controlled the 25,000 Christmas lights in his annual holiday lighting spectacular. So that the Williams’ neighbors weren’t disturbed by constant noise, viewers driving by the house were informed by signs to tune in to a radio signal broadcast over a low-power FM radio station to hear the musical accompaniment. Carson’s Christmas display proved so popular that it was featured in a Miller Lite beer commercial in December 2005.
On December 6, 2005, Carson closed the light display indefinitely due to immense traffic congestion in his subdivision; there was a car accident in that area and police were unable to reach the site due to the heavy traffic that had built up.
Carson and has since started a custom animation lighting business to provide custom designed holiday lighting. Of course!
