The eBay auction for 22 Vick football cards, chewed up and slobbered on by two dogs in Cape Girardeau, Mo., ended Wednesday as the winning bidder dished out $7,400 — with the money expected to be donated to the Humane Society...

I have to assume whoever did this was planning on donating $$ to the Humane Society anyhow, and decided to do it in a more public manner...

One would hope so, which is why I bolded and underlined the word "expected". I'd hate to think that someone spent that much money to gain trading cards that had been chewed up and slobbered all over just gain a sick, twisted collectors item because it is a picture of Vick.
