It was a big end to what had been a very disappointing season for Derrick Johnson.
The fifth-year linebacker returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns against the Broncos in the season finale, going 45 and 60 yards for scores in a big Chiefs victory.
As much fun and as exciting as that moment was, Johnson made it plain that his part-time status with the Chiefs defense is not something he wants to continue.
"I want to play," Johnson said. "I never dreamed of playing this role. But at the same time, you have to make the most of what you have."
