Well my thinking is if we get a safety with the 1st pick he could help cut down the big plays against us wether it be a pass or run.

But good MLB stop the plays at the line of scrimage or in the backfield. Safties usually stop the play 5 or 10 yards past the line of scrimage. Good teams are built from inside to out, Offense and defense.
