Toby Keith song for his friend, some one I met in my life, at my Uncles house in Norman OK. He was just a recruit, high school player then, but he was a great personality, he was one that stood out, not by his skills, but by his heart and joy he had in it. I will never forget that day of meeting this tall man, answering, My Uncles door, when I pushed the door bell, not what I expected, I was looking around to see if I had the correct address, He just laugh and said Randy come on in, you Uncle Clarence is here, I am William Tisdale, and that is my brother Wayman. I will never forget that evening.

Current fav songs have remained my fav's for a long time. I love music, many songs...but, there aren't many that can steal my heart from these fav's. I can listen to them over & over, never tire of them.
Not necessarily in this order, my order of #1 fav can change with mood...but these are my top all time favs, & current:
House of the Rising Sun...by The Animals...a fav since I was like in 6th grade? haha
Me and Bobby McGee...by Janis Joplin...a fav since it's release...I was 15. She recorded it the same yr the Chiefs won Super Bowl IV, 1970, but it wasn't released until 1971 after her death. It was written by one of my favorite songwriter's...Kris Kristofferson.
Dust in the Wind...by Kansas...made fav's list yr of release, 1977.
Church of the Poison Mind...by Boy George and Culture Club, featuring Helen Terry's backup vocals...love her bluesy voice! Fav since 1983, yr of release.
Only God Knows Why...by Kid Rock...made list since I first heard it in 2000.
Bawitdaba...by Kid Rock...another fav added to list in 2000.
Last Stand in Open Country...duet by Willie Nelson and Kid Rock. It became a fav last yr, relating to Derrick Thomas' HOF Induction...my Chiefs friend Kelly & I completing "Full Circle" of celebrating Derrick's career in 2009. A last stand of life so to speak, for DT, and for me too with transition beginning the last chapter of life solo. Willie penned this song related to his last stand in the Country music business, although the lyrics tell of a Western gunslinger...it has an underlying meaning for Willie...a parable.
New Orleans...by Kid Rock...a most recent bluesy fav added to list in 2007 upon release. I can't sit still to this song, especially when Kid begins to Rock it up, haha.
