    Default New Kicker?

    Rotoworld.com

    Justin Medlock-K-Chiefs Sep. 10 - 12:54 pm et

    Chiefs waived K Justin Medlock.

The fifth-round pick looked to have a bright future coming in afer a highly accurate career at UCLA, but he lacked confidence with Kansas City.

    Dave Rayner-K-Chiefs Sep. 10 - 12:53 pm et

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs have reached an agreement with K Dave Rayner.

Kansas City was supportive of rookie Justin Medlock until he shanked a 30-yarder against Houston in Week 1. Rayner won't be a fantasy option on a poor offense, but figures to be an immediate upgrade for the Chiefs.
610 am is reporting it also. should have never had just one kicker in camp. Hermmie shows his stupided to no bounds.
i can remember what a chief super bowl team looks like! ......

Decent move, but funny thing is Tynes is better than Rayner...should've just left well enough alone

The 49ers own my heart, but the Chiefs will always hold a better than neutral spot for giving my favorite player a place to leave with grace...

Yeah, the new kicker and returner haven't worked out so well...
Thanks for all the yards, TDs, and memories, Priest!

yea, before they got rid of Tynes they should have let them battle it out in camp. as low as hermmie wants to score i would have thought this.

That's why he kept Medlock. So he could score less points.

If you think about it from Herm's point of view...21 points is 7 scores. He doesn't plan on getting touchdowns...most teams would be very happy with 7 scores...although most teams would figure that's 3-4 TDs and 3-4 Field goals...not 7 fieldgoals.

He obviously wants to keep the score low. That's why yesterday when the Texans were toeing the line of leaving real football and going over to arena-land, Herm stuck to his guns and tried to get his 10 points. No passes way down field that might leave precious time on the clock and mean we would run the risk of another possession and (gasp) another score. OH NO. Stick to the short stuff that once in a blue moon will move the sticks and once in a month of Sunday's will result in a score.

Medlock was great. He was the ultimate govenor on an offense that just 2 years ago was taken seriously....
You can only have one favorite team. There are no "second favorites".
