Default IMO this critical for next season.

Report: Chiefs Negotiating With Chris Chambers - Arrowhead Pride
IMO we have to sign Chambers to have a chance at the play offs next year.
I really like the last statement of this article. More and more people are getting on the Chiefs bandwagon.

I'm not as high on the Chambers bandwagon as everyone else. He did have some good games for us, but he's just an average #2 WR in my opinion. I think back to the Buffalo game and the dropped pass that could have given us 5 wins. I also remember the first Chiefs vs. Chargers game when he was on the Chargers, Chambers dropped two very easy passes, one being a sure touchdown.

All in all, the expectations are high for him, he's set up to disappoint.

I feel that he could ultimately disappoint for another reason, because with his previous two teams he was very good initially, and then his production dropped off significantly.

But I still think we should re-sign him, just to a small deal, hopefully.

He was much more than an average WR2 last season though.. his numbers for a full 16 games projected to over 1000 yards.

Exactly. His numbers in the 9 games he was with us were very good and were better than your typical WR2, though he was the WR1 for 4 games also though.

All in all, his upside is definitely worth trying to resign him, but I don't think it's "resign him or we're screwed next year."

I'm not sure how you could not re sign Chambers with the group of inadequate WR's that are on this team. Bowe.....overrated to this point IMO. Waaayyy to inconsistant to be counted upon in any clutch situation. Until Bowe steps up and shows whether or not he can be counted on, this team needs as many threats at that position as they can get.

Well we made the playoffs, albeit I don't think it was b/c of Chambers.

Yep and the tank Chambers went into was very, very deep.

Chambers for me was by far the biggest letdown this season. I think he is going to be looking for a new team to have one good year then tank for.
