    Default Chiefs sign Thomas Jones to 2 year, $5 million deal!

    Just came across the Twitter machine via Adam Schefter:

    Filed to ESPN: Thomas Jones signs in Kansas City: two years, $5 million. Chiefs have their running back. No need for Willie Parker to visit.
    I'm stoked about this signing...good money, good back. Things are starting to look up for KC!!!!

    This is a signing that makes me feel all warm and awsome inside. Charles is a great RB but if he had to do it all alone with nobody to give him a breather I don't know how well he would fair. Jones had 1400+ yrds in 09 add that to the 1100+ yards Charles had and we have a backfield that should scare opposing defenses. With every defense gearing up to stop our running attack Cassell will throw the ball at will, but our WR's need to catch the damn ball!

    This is great news on so many levels. Now we don't have to "hope" a good RB is in the draft! Plus, he will be a perfect match for Charles!

    ESPNs Chris Mortenson just said the Chiefs were one of his favorite sleeper teams, even moreso with Jones now.
