Default Good News for the Chiefs??

Just saw this on NFL.com...doesn't mean much but at least we know there's plenty of interest in this kid...

Clausen is set to meet w/ 5 of the top 10 teams...

"Over the next few days, Clausen will meet with the St. Louis Rams (No. 1), Washington Redskins (4), Cleveland Browns (7), Buffalo Bills (9) and Jacksonville Jaguars (10)."

Should we consider this good news??? You know, so we can trade down or have a player such as Okung fall to us in that #5 spot.

    Your opinions.....

It's definitely good news if Cleveland and Buffalo, or Jacksonville are all very interested. That can be great news for the Chiefs.

It would be cool to trade down and get a few extra picks. Plus get out of that dreaded top 5.

If you can trade out of the #5 spot I would get Dez Bryant or Eric Berry.you would'nt have that high price to pay.

Dez Bryant would be a good pick. But Eric Berry higher than 15 might still be a stretch. Teams that draft safeties in the top 15 don't normally reap the benefits.

There is plenty of good WR in the draft. We don't need a first round one. We can still get a decent one in the 3rd or 4th.

    Jordan Shipley
    Freddie Barnes

If Bradford goes to the Rams and Clausen goes to the Skins then there is a good chance that Okung could make it to the #5 spotand that would be a nice catch.

Detroit could still go Okung, and frankly I don't see why they wouldn't.

Its good news just for the fact that its always good to have options. If there is that many teams looking at Clausen then that would give the Chiefs some options. So yes I would say that it is good news.

    It is unequivocal good news.

even if only one team is genuinely interested in Clausen, the perception that he is widely sought-after is what makes trades happen.
