Sigh.. sometimes I think you argue with me for the sake of arguing, chief. It's easy to look decent when you have D'Brickashaw Ferguson on one side and Nick Mangold on the other.

    Rotoworld:
The headline here reads "Jets release Pro Bowl G Alan Faneca." A Pro Bowler Faneca was in 2009, but he sure didn't play like it.
    Yahoo:
LG Alan Faneca has been released by the Jets, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Faneca, 32, was due to earn $7.5 million in 2010. The Jets had been trying to trade Faneca, whose pass protection has started to decline in recent seasons.
    Chris Mortensen:
Faneca still a punch pail guy, run blocker; has become liability in pass protection but has to be asset w Jets owing him the money
Sure he can still run block. But hasn't the point of our offensive line overhaul been about finding a way to keep Cassel from getting murdered like he was last season?

Dude, we had Weigmann a couple of years ago and he was let go because he was not that good. He went to Denver and had some success behind a much better line than ours.

Now he is back, but he is old and has lost a step or three. He clearly is not the future of this team. This team needs a center, do not be surprised if Asamoah is called upon to backup that position.

Are you man enough? Eric Berry? Apparently Not!

Our entire OL sucks - save Albert (average) and Asamoah (don't know yet). A great OL takes a couple years to gel with each other. We brought in some stop-gaps, thats it. Not much gelling going on here if they're only here a year - two at the most...

He was a run-blocking specialist from day one. And he was soft in pass-protection from day one. No decline. I seen him in five games and alot of game clips through '09. He looked just like he did with Pittsburgh, where I saw alot more of him.

He would be an asset to any team looking to "pound the rock".

And, just watch and see if The Jets' running game, even with LT, doesn't show a very noticable decline.

By the way, you said ya think I argue with you for the sake of arguing. Do we have some other "argument" going on somewhere?

Don't go taking it personally. Had I agreed with your opinion, I would't have offered an opposing viewpoint.

Our OL is not as bad as every one here makes it sound..... last year they were under coached(or not coached)

When the QB holds the ball too long because the receivers can't get open, or just because he does not get rid of the ball....As we all know he had the leading sacks when he was with the Pats.....Its NOT our OL's fault that he doesnt get the ball to the WR's or that the WR's don't get open.

This year will be so different, we have coaches, better WR speed (Thanks to the heads up thinking of our coaches on the draft) A TE that can block and catch(once again good job GM and Coaches)

With our new coaches and all of the same players we had last year we would win at least 4 more games.

This is by far the best off season we've had in years!!!!!!!!!!!
