I think Bob Gretz looks at the TJ situation from a much more realistic perspective:
Nothing found for Chiefs-football Don%E2%80%99t-judge-tyson-yet-thursday-cup-o%E2%80%99chiefs #more-13763
To be fair to TJ, he played on arguably the worst DL in the NFL, so he got a lot of extra blockers in his face.
Once the LB corps and DL improves (which it hasn't this offseason) I think his production will go up
So Dorsey and TJ having some NFL experience under their belts doesn't improve the DL? Adding Shaun Smith doesn't make it better than having Ron Edwards there?
Adding Romeo Crennel and replacing Tim Krumrie as DL coach, and having that pass rush specialist working with the DL doesn't do anything for it?
Just spitballin' there....
thats because jackson is a bust and was a waste of a draft pick in the first rd. IMO. I was mad when the pick was made and still am.
Given that the choice was really between Curry and Jackson, I think we made the right pick (although I wish we'd have taken BJ Raji at NT). I mean, Curry didn't exactly light up the Seahawks defense last season, and I think he'd be in the same position as DJ on our defense. He's too small to be an OLB and his athleticism would be wasted as an ILB.
Jackson is only going to be as good as his NT, and he'll never be a high sacks kind of DE. Give him a couple years and a real NT, and he should be fine.
Listing to ESPN is about as bad as listing to Kipers. He makes these bold predditions and there wrong most of the time.Don't worry Chiefs fans.Tyson Jackson will fine.I think he did better his first year than Dorsey did.Dorsey and Jackson are going to tear it up this year.Go CHIEFS
