Regarding the bet, I'm going to setup a sportsbook bet, so that all of you can bet.

I opened the negative thread because I think everyone's gone crazy.

For three years, we had one of the worst NFL management duos to walk the face of this earth in Herm/Carl. They traded, released, or inexplicably benched our best players (JA, Mitchell, Huard), they drafted skill, scheme, or project players over big linemen/LBs, and they ran schemes for which they didn't have the personnel. It wasn't until our team bottomed out at 2-14 that most Chiefs fans were willing to admit that these guys weren't working.

In the past two offseasons, Pioli/Haley have traded, released, or inexplicably benched our best players (TG, Pollard, DJ), drafted skill, scheme, or project players over big linemen/LBs, and are running schemes for which they don't have the personnel.

Now both groups had disadvantages coming in. Herm/Carl faced a rapidly aging roster that lacked any young talent due to years of poor drafting. Pioli/Haley face the aftermath of Herm/Carl's "youth movement." But those excuses only go so far.

A blind man can see that we have massive holes on this team. That while we're improving our glamour spots (FS, KR/PR), our best guys (Chambers, Vrabel, Waters) keep getting older and older. That we're becoming the Royals of the NFL. We let our best players go or trade them to big markets while spending as little as we can to put a team on the field.

Or maybe you have gone crazy.

Since when has Pollard been amongst our best players? Or Huard? You have to be kidding me. You call your self a Chiefs fan? Sure these guys came in a did their job, but best on the team?

I know its a real, real long time ago. But do you remember Herm benching a red-hot Huard right before the playoffs in 2006? Remember how that turned out?

And I know it was a real, real long time ago, but do you remember Pollard leading our team in tackles? And did you happen to see him light it up on the Texans thiws season after (stupidly) being cut?

If I can give you some helpful advice - know what you're talking about before posting. You'll look less foolish that way.

Regarding the bets, put your money where your mouth is. The bet thread is listed below. Remember that bets will not pay out until January 3rd, 2011.

How many games will the Kansas City Chiefs win in 2010?
Its not name calling if its true!! Im just sayin.

I agree man. Unlike you, I am a degenerate gambler. Let's bet this thing!

And did you notice that Coach put the odds of the Chiefs only winning 4-6 games at even? Everything else was 4-1, 10-1, etc. Curious stuff.
