    in case you haven't heard. not football news. but Fox is reporting he died of a massive heat attack. he was 80

    It's a shocker, two legenday Yankees gone within a couple days. May they RIP.

    As much as I HATE the Yankees this is sad news. Say what you will about the man but he was a owner that cared about winning or loseing. Sad news indeed.

    He bought the Yankees in 1973 with 10 million dollars. Think about that for a moment. In less than 40 years, the man made almost 100 percent profit on the Yankees who are valued at almost a billion dollars now.

    The kind of drive and determination that it takes to do something like that is just not understood by anyone but a handful of individuals.

    Say what you want about him, I would have given anything to have mentored under someone like that. If only 1 percent of what he was rubbed off on you, it would have been incredible.
