Default Chiefs autographed memorabilia & collectibles FOR SALE!

Hey y'all...I have Coach's okay to offer for sale several autographed Chiefs items/memorabilia from my personal collection of the past 20+ years in this forum. I will begin posting photo's & descriptions later this evening. I have many autographed footballs & mini helmets autographed personally by Chiefs legends, including HOF'ers. As well, many novelty items too, including vintage.

Most of the autographed items I've obtained myself over the years, or through people I knew personally to be reliable that had access to Chiefs practice's at Arrowhead, etc.. I personally guarantee all items to be authentic. I'm an honest person, and I will also note any defects or flaws that the photo's may not reveal, although most of my items are in excellent condition overall.

As a result of my divorce in April 2009...my priority now must be surviving financially until I can sell my home, move closer to Kansas City, obtain employment. I need to pay my basic bills to survive in the meantime, as no feasible job opportunities have come to be, that I've applied for surrounding my rural community in the last several months.

Those items that are dear to my heart specifically, such as those my kids or friends have given me over the years as special gifts...I will be keeping. As well, a future home in Kansas City won't be able to feasibly display my collection of Chiefs memorabilia. No need to feel badly for me, nor for buying an item. It makes me happier knowing items will be going to homes of dedicated loyal Chiefs fans, of whom will appreciate the items as much as I do, & have over the years. God is beside me, I'm a survivor, and hopefully soon my house will sell, and I'll be able to re-build my life completely. I'll be closer to Arrowhead too when I'm able to relocate! :)

I have a difficult time pricing items, as I have no idea of current market or collectible value. This is the sort of personal collectible that varies in value...depending upon an individual desire and what it's worth to them. As well, I want any one interested to have a fair opportunity to acquire an item they may want...rather than just put a price on an item selling it to the first person that happens to want it.

All factor's considered, I feel it's best, including fair opportunity for all...for me to offer the items for sale on a 'will accept best offer' method. If you see an item you would like to buy, please PM me the best offer you're comfortable with. The item will be sold to the person making the highest offer, regardless of whether or not it may be considered low, as I said, my priority is paying my basic survival bills, not whether an offer may be considered low. I realize I'm not the only one struggling financially, so please offer what you feel comfortable with affordably. I will accept offers through August 15th. :)

Payments can be made one of three ways:
    1) To my Paypal account, of which transactions are secure & insured.
    2) Personal check or money order mailed to me directly.
    3) In person, paid for when picking the item(s) up. It's not feasible for me to make several trips to Kansas City, so if you're wanting to pick an item up personally, you will need to do so either at location arranged near my home, or at my home if I know you and am comfortable, haha. I live about an hour & half drive NW of Arrowhead Stadium. If you're going to be attending the MNF game tailgating event, I can also bring items with me then. :)

If an item is to be mailed to you after receipt of payment, I package all items safely, & will mail Priority with tracking. I will note shipping cost to the item description post, which will be in addition to your best offer.

    Any questions?...please ask.

Also, I'm donating 10% of the total sales to the Chiefs Crowd website...at my insistance...wasn't asked to, nor was it suggested I do so. I won't have it any other way, as without donating would feel I'm taking advantage of the website for self benefit. This is a free website, of which I know has costs involved for Coach, others donating time to moderate, etc.. It will be my privilege to donate, even if on a small scale, having a way to do so, and allows me to maintain self respect.

You're right Connie, you were not, nor will you be, asked to donate to the site and are under no obligation to do so. However, doing so says volumes about your strength of character, and makes me proud that you're a member of the site.

I think that if you are more comfortable with PM's it is probably the best way to go; it'll help keep the thread from being cluttered. It would be a good idea to update the thread though with the status of each item.

It's only right that I donate...if under different circumstances, I would donate more than 10%.

When you say update...do you mean let everyone know the amount of an offer, but keep confidentiality of whom the offer is from...or just note the number of offers on particular items?

...Or just when an item is sold so folks will know not to bid on it.

Oh well, the way I had it in my mind was I would continue to accept any offers through the 15th of August, allowing time for everyone to have an opportunity to see the photo's, make an offer. Then on the 15th, whomever had the highest offer would be the one I'd sell the item too. I suppose in a way it's similar in thought to a silent auction? Does that make sense, cause my mind has been overloaded today with many things going on at once, lol. :)

I did take more photo's today, but need to re-size & upload to PB, which I might not get done until tomorrow now. Too many important phone calls & emails today distracting me, haha. :)

Okay, these are the last of the items I'm going to try to sell for now. I don't want to become overwhelmed trying to sell too much at once. I'm also planning to retain my most cherished Chiefs items...such as my Derrick Thomas autographed jersey. Items of course that are personalized to me...such as several years ago, Lamar Hunt (RIP) gave me an 8x10 of himself, personally autographed. So you see, don't feel badly for me...I'm not parting with those items held closest to my heart for sentimental reasons. Also, I've decided when I'm able to move, I'm designing my kitchen/dining, wherever it may be...to reflect my passion for the Chiefs! I'll hang my DT jersey, other items, in my future kitchen/dining, haha.

I would not set that finale date time, unless you are also posting the items elsewhere. I would also put a disclaimer in, that if you do not feel top bid is enough, you have the right to not sell the item.

Didn't think about those aspects TS, thanks. :) The date of August 15th is a final date for those items I receive offer's on with this initial posting. What I don't receive offers on I will leave standing, accept offers indefinitely...as long as Coach doesn't mind this thread hanging around, haha. :)

No, I'm not listing the items elsewhere. However, my German friend Robert is giving a list of what I'm selling to a couple of his Chiefs buddies back in Germany, so they may be making offers too. With exception of them, no others, or places, such as I'm not listing on Ebay.

Ebay has become a real pain the butt for small individual occasional sellers like me. By the time you pay listing fees, final value fees, Paypal fees, etc...it ends up being almost 20% of what you sold an item for. Some of their new requirements on sellers aren't reasonable/fair. For instance...a buyer can leave me a bad mark if they don't think there item was shipped quick enough. Big Power Sellers have USPS or UPS come to their door daily.

Where I live in the country, I have to drive 10 miles one way to the post office to mail packages. I can't feasibly do that on a daily basis, so make it clear I ship at least once weekly, more often if going in the direction of the post office. Heck, that's quicker than mail order or online retail stores ship items. Still, people want things yesterday...they might take two weeks to pay for an item, but they expect their item in two days! It's just too much for me to cope with right now, considering everything else I'm dealing with, haha.
