The Kansas City Chiefs have released WR Lance Long, the team announced Tuesday, Aug. 31.

So much for having 53 Lance Long's on the team, if there isn't even one. I think is good news for. J. Horne.

I like Horne but I think he has practice squad written all over him

Looks like Horne took his job. Can't say that this is a shock to me have not seen him on the field a lot this preseason.

He may be, but I am not sure I see any other WR other than Bowe, Chambers or McCluster who is better.

I dont think theres anyway Horne would clear waivers if he were released. Plus hes already shown us more in the receiving game than Lawrence, Gunnel and Copper. I could see us keeping 6..

I'm a big Haley fan, but I'm still a little relieved to see one "his" guys get cut. We don't need passion projects making the team.

Urban is more polished than Moore, and will almost certainly make the roster. And I think we keep Lawrence and Copper, if only for special teams reasons. That makes Moore the odd guy out. I think they stash him on the practice squad for 2010 and bring him back in 2011.
