Default McCluster doubtful for season opener

Dexter McCluster - Kansas City Chiefs - News - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

Sep 11 McCluster (illness) is listed as doubtful for Monday's season opener against the Chargers, Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com reports.
Recommendation: McCluster sat out practice Friday, but we had no idea that his illness was serious enough for the Chiefs to mark him as doubtful two days before the game. He was a popular rookie sleeper, especially in PPR leagues, but it looks like we'll have to wait at least until Week 2 to see if he can begin to capitalize on that potential. Because you'll likely have to make a lineup decision on him well before Monday night's kickoff, he's simply too risky to play this week. Terrance Copper or Jeremy Horne will serve as Kansas City's No. 3 receiver.

Being his first NFL game and a Monday night game on top of that you can bet if he is held out he is very ill.

Perhaps a little gamesmanship in the works??

Why? I think he is and is going to be, a great player for us, but we still have other players.

Yeah, other players that aren't even close to McCluster's level. If you want some more Lance Longs then be my guess.

You are correct, we do not have anyone else like him, or at his level of play, wait, he is a rookie? So what are we to do now, the star is potentially not able to play.
