Thank you.

I was talking about if he does happen to have a bad game. SHOULD he struggle I don't think it would be time to give up on him. This will be his first playoff game. Many players have struggled at there first playoff game and rebounded. I would rather keep with him then start over at the QB spot. Even if he seems to have a really bad game Sunday.
Clearly we are not understanding each other.
Blame it on the net!!!!
I WANT Cassel to be the QB that brings us our second Superbowl!
And for personal reasons I WANT him to defeat New England to get us to the Superbowl.
And he is a very good QB! Maybe the best we have had since Montana.
But I just haven't seen "it" in him yet.
That burning desire.
That "OK...there is 5 minutes left and we are down by 13 but I don't give a FUDGECICLE.......WE ARE GOING TO WIN THIS GAME!!!!!!!"
Thats what it takes to make a Superbowl QB.
And yes...those kind of QBs DO lose. Lots of times! Look at Roger Staubach!
Cassel has the skills.
Does he have the spirit?
Its his spirit I doubt, not his skills.
GO CHIEFS!!!
I think we are agreeing on 99% of the issue. The only thing I am saying that if Cassel does really seem to struggle in this game I don't think we need to pick up anther QB except for the backup role. YES I want him to look really good and not even make this an issue going forward. But if he doesn't I will look at it just like last years regular season. First time through Learn something and use that experiance to make yourself a better player. If he struggles in the playoffs next year shoud we get that far then I will start to doubt that he is not the QB to lead us to the superbowl.
Lets be honest......
We need to pick up a backup QB. The question is....are we looking for a long term backup or somebody that might be the starter in 2 years? The answer to that question will have a HUGE impact on how we draft.
To my way of thinking, the answer to that question will be answered by Matt Cassel on sunday.
Personally, I WANT Cassel to show us Sunday that he is the only QB the Chiefs will need for the next 10 years.
I WANT HIM TO SUCCEED!!!!
But Sunday is going to tell me a lot about him.
Not whether we win or lose, but how he plays.
On Sunday, Matt Cassel will decide if he is an "also ran" or a future star.
Its up to him.
Well, Cassel's first playoff game is not going to be the game that assures me that he will never be "That Guy", "The Guy", or whatever.
