Trying out LBs...

The Chiefs tried out a few LBs this week, presumably because their special teams depth is in question. The list includes Larry Izzo, Mark Simoneau, and Chris McCoy.

However, a familiar face could soon be released. According to reports, Kawika Mitchell has asked for his release from Buffalo. It's a stretch to think he'd be interested in coming and playing for a Chiefs team that plays a 3-4 and already has 4 solid LBs to compete against, but I thought he'd be an interesting name to throw back in the mix.

Greenwood is a 5th LB and he's so awesome on special teams that I doubt we'd release him.

It seems like Mitchell left here on bad terms, or maybe I'm just imagining that? Either way, I doubt we sign any of these guys unless someone gets hurt.

While Mitchell may have left on bad terms, no one from that era is left in the gm/coaching staff
