In fact, an example would be the Bronco's winning Super Bowl 1997-1998...they cheated in the draft that year and cheated in games, including against our Chiefs in the playoff at Arrowhead. Regardless of how much I despise the Bronco's related to our Chiefs...I don't believe they were the best that year at all. To this day I question whether or not some ref's were in the Bronco's pocket, or had personal interest in their winning in some aspect.
I don't believe Indy was the best the year they won the Super Bowl either, just got damn lucky in several games, including playoffs. The major disadvantage to sudden death elimination is the best doesn't always win...too many factors at play.
