Wow! I would have never guessed the guy who couldn't throw for even 100 yards in our first game would catch fire at a crucial point in the season and be named offensive player of the month.

    Keep proving me wrong Matt!

I was never one of the guys that wanted to pull him, but I didn't think he had the potential to be "world class" either.

I may have been wrong. (Wouldn't be the first time).

    Sure hope I was wrong!

The next 5 weeks are going to tell us a lot about the next 5 years.

    GO CHIEFS!!!

If Cassel continues to play at this level for the remainder of the season, when every game is more important than the last, then it will show everyone (who matters or can think) that the Chiefs have found a quarterback upon whose shoulders they can lay their team's future.

If Cassel folds, then we will know that the QB situation is not solidified, and we will likely have to bring someone in to compete for the job this offseason or next.

I'm hoping he can get to 30 TD without going over 8 interceptions.

That would be a RIDICULOUS turn around from last year.

Absolutely agreed! I just don't think, even given his veteran status and experience, that the next five weeks necessarily determines the kind of QB he will be over the next five years one way or the other. However, I've been woefully wrong before.
