Default Rivers > Cassel (Slightly).... LAUGHING AT THAT NOW!!!!

did you just say rivers > cassel (slightly)?????

on what earth do you think that they are even on the same plateau

    cut it out man

i understand hes having a good year, but Rivers has consistantly put up gaudy numbers 3-4 years in a row, when cassel does that then well compare, but cassel was a career back up and youre saying Rivers is slightly better?

    at least be realistic.
Quote from ChargerDan earlier to my post saying Rivers > Cassel....Yeah I'll still give you the benefit of the doubt and say Rivers is better than Cassel. But I look at our quarterbacks performance (24/34 314 3TDs 0int) against yours in a must win game (27/40 256 yds/1TD/1INT - crucial INT too huh)...I just want to laugh at all the critics that doubted the Chiefs, and Cassel especially...No better QB in the AFC West right now!!!

LMAO!!! - what youre going to gloat over the fact that we had to throw in Croyle in all game pretty much made the 2nd game a non-starter. I mean we threw him in for all of 3 plays early in the 4th quarter against the titans and he handed off for no gain, passed a screen for a loss and threw an INT in that order. Would have been a completely different game if Cassel were healthy. Also - i cant say that i know anyone here that were thinking 'our season is over' . we were all thinking 'damn we really need to get Cassel back on the field'.

I don't get it either. Where did I say anything about Cassel in that post or say he wasn't good. Or that I didn't believe the Chiefs couldn't win with Cassel.

My point was that CASSEL makes the big difference in the Chiefs offense and Cassel being out is the reason they lost.

Of course it was not the defense that failed to score any points either.

The offense did NOTHING to help the defense. The defense created 2 turnovers to help the offense. The offense held onto the ball for a whole 19:50. Leaving the defense on the field for over 40 mins!!! the Chiefs punted 8 times! Had a total of 5 first downs!

I don't care what anyone says. People keep saying "its a team sport". Sorry to break it to you guys but EVERY team has a leader. That leader is the QB. If your QB is horrible, then the people you lead are not going to be very good either. The offense starts with your QB. Croyle flat out SUCKS. He mad everyone around him suck. All 4 sacks were him being too scared to throw the ball and held onto it. And when he did throw the ball, they were almost all poorly thrown.

Only thing good about this loss is that its a wake up call for all the Cassel haters

Not sure what your point is here, but the problem for the Dolts is that this started looking to much like the playoffs, so Rivers (he of the 79.0 playoff QB rating) started choking like you'd expect.

    That's just Philip being Philip...

Of course we are going to forget that Chargers game because it has nothing to do with us making the playoffs. Unlike the Dolts and Raiders fans the Chiefs are looking forward and how we are gonna do next week. Your going to be like the raider fans instead of you saying well we won three Super Bowls all your gonna beable to hang your hat on is that you won the AFC West 5 in a row or whatever it was it doesn't matter anymore because we are the AFC West Champs so you better change your name or I might just think that you jumped off the San Diego ship and became a Chiefs fan.
