Default Zorn to be Chiefs QB Coach

    From Profootballtalk

Zorn set to join ChiefsFebruary 15, 2011, 11:01 AM ESTJim Zorn was fired by the Ravens after the 2010 season. The team that lost at home to the Ravens in the playoffs apparently was impressed with his work. We’re hearing that Zorn will be joining the Kansas City Chiefs. Zorn presumably will fill the currently vacant role of quarterbacks coach, serving as the primary…

I actually like this hire. Zorn has been through the coaching ranks (head coached for the Redskins as recent as 2009) and I heard good things about him in Baltimore from Flacco. I don't think the rest of the staff got along with him though, hence his firing.

I heard that Flacco was upset when they fired him. I don't think that this is a bad move. He is not a good head coach but he can be a very good guy to work with Cassel. As long as he is not calling the plays I don't think he's a bad guy to have around.

I like the hire and I am thinking down the road but IMO the Chiefs also hired him so they have a back up guy if Bill doesnt work as OC.

I like the hire too. I agree that he may not be that good of a head coach, but do feel he is one of the best available to help out Cassel. Hasselbeck, C. Batch, and Flacco all had career years with him as their QB coach.

I think if he just has to focus on developing him, we should be set (heard Flacco was pissed the ravens fired him.)

And yes maybe they will look for him to succeed Muir if he doesn't work out and help to groom Siriani into a QB coach and eventually an OC.

HAHAHAHA For some reason I just had a flash of Yogi Berra go through my head.

"Football is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical."

Yeah yeah, I know I changed it, but I had to make it a football reference.

Are you man enough? Eric Berry? Apparently Not!

I would love this. I'm a big zorn fan. I don't think he got a fair shake in washington.
Play Goal line blitz for FREE
Kind of like a Madden sim but way more involved. Create players, develop them, own teams, build stadiums, GM teams, ect.
