CHIEFS ROOKIE WR DWAYNE BOWE NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

The NFL announced on Friday that Chiefs rookie WR Dwayne Bowe was named the Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for his game vs. Minnesota (9/23). Fans voted for Bowe on NFL.com and via Sprint wireless services.
Bowe caught five passes for 71 yards with a touchdown in the Chiefs 13-10 victory vs. Minnesota. The LSU product made an acrobatic 16-yard scoring reception on a pass from QB Damon Huard in the fourth quarter that proved to be the difference in the game. It marked his second consecutive game with a touchdown catch. He has played in three games (two starts) in 2007, posting 10 catches for 135 yards (13.5 avg.) with a pair of scoring grabs.
The Miami, Florida native entered the NFL as the Chiefs first-round selection (23rd overall) this year of LSU. Bowe finished his collegiate career with 154 catches for 2,403 yards (15.6 avg.) with a school-record 26 TDs.
