Post-whores

I was just wondering if it might be beneficial to the site and it's members, if we were to add a forum specifically for post-whoring. Maybe a sub-forum, within the "lockerroom" forum.

That me be one way to assist in "filtering out" those posts, for our members who have asked for some way to get to football posts with less "Whoring".

For example, if a once-a-week member logs-on, he finds 3300 unread posts. If he goes to the "post-whoring" forum and marks the entire forum as "read", it may have a significant effect on the number of unread posts, that he would have to read, to catch-up on the football talk.

This would depend, of course, upon the useage of the "post-whoring" forum/sub-forum, but it may be worth a try.

I am up for it but threads have a mind of their own and sometimes just go off in a different direction. We have all post whored but now that the season has started I would love to read more posts about football related things myself.

Of course this wouldn't eliminate post-whoring. I am not about that anyway. But it may be successful in minnimizing it, for the less frequent, but still regular Crowd members.

People are just having fun. However, I agree that it's silly to use postwhoring as the subject of postwhoring.

I don't have any problem with the post-whoring, at all. But it can be seen as clutter, to those who are regulars, but may not be everyday regulars.

Just think it may be good to have an out-of-the-way place to start those type of threads. Nothing can be done to keep Chiefs-related topics from going off-topic, but with the large quantity of members here, of late, I think that we could help a little bit, to make it easier for others to find actual chiefs-related posts.

I saw this kind of thing on another board somewhere. Though they had too much going on there, to keep up with it.

Well I am guilty of the worst of post whoring, and I am also bored going through 150 post whoring posts that I have to go through every day.

I generally try to keep up but usually end up not reading half of the stuff posted while I'm gone.

It would be nice to log on and see some Chiefs related stuff instead of an endless discussion of what FYP could stand for!
